The Imaginary Invalid is a three act comedy written by the French playwright Molière. The plot involves a man who is a hypochondriac faced with large pharmacy bills. He comes up with the innovative solution of having his daughter marrying a doctor, so he can save on future medical expenses. However, she is not interested in this–she is already in love with someone else.

The BMCC Theatre Department’s production of the Imaginary Invalid has been adapted by Professor Diane Dowling.
