(no)man is a dance oratory traveling through ideas of home and identity while juxtaposing cross-cultural movement as a reflection of power & privilege. The show comprises 10 Chapters, each pinpointing a power dynamic between [winning-losing] and [birth-death]. The rich multicultural tapestry weaving through the chapters of (no)man reveals repeating cycles between the past, present, and future to imagine where society has gone and could go in the collective future.
The IMGE Dance residency at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center is part of the CUNY Dance Initiative (CDI), which receives major support from The Mertz Gilmore Foundation and Howard Gilman Foundation. Additional support is provided by the SHS Foundation, Rockefeller Brothers Fund’s Charles E. Culpeper Arts & Culture program, and the Harkness Foundation for Dance. Shine like never before! It’s now time for your kids to take center stage and perform in front of family and friends! Tribeca PAC is now offering an Acting Camp & Production this Midwinter Recess, February 18th through 22 2025. This is a chance for your kids to work with theater professionals as they spend the week working on a musical production – a musical adaptation of Hercules, adapted by Michael McGill and Joseph Martinez with music & lyrics by Michael McGill, presented by Missoula Children’s Theatre.
All of our rehearsals are open to you as the parent / guardian. Be aware, however, that it may be fun for the students to surprise their friends and family at the end of the week by showing what they have accomplished! Please understand that we cannot allow guests to disrupt the rehearsals. Productive rehearsals depend on the focused work of the cast members involved.
The dress rehearsal is Friday, February 21, the first three hours of rehearsal from 10am to 2pm. This includes enough time for the cast to get into costume and run the show with starts and stops as needed. Please note, this is not a performance. The dress rehearsal is the first time the cast has the opportunity to get accustomed to their costumes and props. Because of this we do not allow an audience to watch the dress rehearsal.
