With her unique and alluring bluesy, jazzy Americana sound with a world-class voice and melodies you’ll hum for days, award-winning singer songwriter Elza Müller-Römer touches you with the first note and holds you spellbound until the last. Elza has shared the stage with such icons as Merle Saunders, Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, Andrea Bocelli, Hootie & The Blowfish, Martin Sexton & Train. Elza grew up back and forth between Charleston SC and Germany and was deeply influenced by the live music she heard at the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC. She receivied her BFA in Classical Music from SUNY Purchase and being the NY winner of the National MacAllister Opera Awards, she performed as a classical solo vocalist with the PA Ballet Co Conducted by Robert Sirota, The Charles Ives Performing Arts Center, the Humphrey-Weidman Gala at the Sylvia & Danny Kaye Playhouse NYC and studied Italian at La Scuola per stranieri Dante Alleghieri in Florence Italy. She also enjoys writing and recording music for TV and Film. Her song “the other side” was the Grand Prize winner in the International Music Licensing Songwriting Competition and has led to her work with Telly Award Winning Producer Gary Gray. She wrote the promo theme & 13 of the songs for ABC’s “Hopkin’s,” “BostonMed,” “NYMed” and her music has been featured on the CW’s hit show “Smallville.”
