Ernest Turner Trio returns to Tribeca PAC! Founded by North Carolina based pianist Ernest Turner, The Ernest Turner Trio has been performing since 2006. The trio’s uniquely personal musical identity draws from Ernest’s varied musical experiences and influences, which ranges anywhere from European classical music to African American musical art forms such as gospel, jazz, and hip-hop. With an affinity for harmonic and rhythmic exploration, spontaneous improvisation and -of course – the blues, the trio brings a fresh and unique perspective with their creative originals and re-imaginings of jazz and pop standards. Most recently they released an album entitled “My Americana”.
