Since its Broadway premiere—where it earned eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical— Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler’s darkly delicious masterpiece, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, has become a bloody, worldwide success.
Unjustly exiled, Sweeney Todd returns to London seeking revenge against Judge Turpin, the corrupt authority who framed him and destroyed his family. Above a failing pie shop run by the cunning Mrs. Lovett, Todd reopens his barber practice—setting in motion a gruesome partnership that soon feeds both his bloodlust and the city’s appetite.
With a cast of unforgettable characters and some of the most chilling music ever written for the stage, Sweeney Todd invites audiences not just to witness the story, but to step inside it—where the danger is constant, the shadows are just a little too close, and escape is never guaranteed.

Brian Henson’s Puppet Up! @ Tribeca Performing Arts Center

“If you’re a Jim Henson buff, this show is not to be missed” (Time Out).  Brian Henson’s Puppet Up!, the world-renowned stage show, beloved by comedy fans at Edinburgh Fringe and San Francisco’s Sketch Fest Comedy Festival, combines “the magic of first-rate Henson-style puppetry and the ribald joy of comedy” (San Francisco Chronicle).  Dozens of Henson puppets are brought to life by a cast of world-class puppeteers and comedians from The Jim Henson Company that sing, dance, and improvise throughout this night of outrageous improv and sketch comedy for adults. Created by legendary puppeteer and award-winning director Brian Henson (Muppet Christmas Carol, Labyrinth) and director-host Patrick Bristow (The Groundlings, Ellen, Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Whose Line Is It Anyway?), Puppet Up! is an elaborate, over-the-top theatrical production complete with lights, special effects, sound, and music.  “You cannot imagine the mayhem that erupts when an uninhibited house takes its cues from the gifted lunatics onstage.” (Los Angeles Times).  “Top 10 Best Stage Shows. Grade A.”  (Entertainment Weekly) For adults 16+ only.
